ATBU Admission List 2022/2023 Academic Session | Portal Updates

This is to inform all interested applicants that the ATBU admission list for the 2022/2023 academic session has been released by the school management. Read through this guide to know how to check your admission status. 

Institutions usually release admission lists after the conduct of the admission screening exercise, they come in different batches: 1st Batch (Merit List) followed by 2nd, 3rd, and other Batches.

This guide aims to inform all the candidates that participated in the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) post-UTME screening exercise that they can now check their admission status.

ATBU provisional admission list for the 2022/2023  academic session has now been uploaded online.

How to Check ATBU Admission List Online.

Candidates are advised to follow the steps below to be able to check their admission lists:


  • Navigate to the ATBU admission status-checking portal 
  • Input your JAMB registration number in the required column.
  • Finally, tap on Search to check your ATBU admission status.


  • To check your ATBU admission status, go to the JAMB portal 
  • Sign in to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
  • Scroll down then find and tap the Check Admission Status tab.
  • Choose your Exam year and input your registration number in the required column.
  • Finally, tap on Check Admission Status to check your ATBU admission status or tap on ‘Access my CAPS‘ to access CAPS for Admission status and other related services.

Candidates who have been accepted will see the message ‘CONGRATULATIONS!

You have been selected for physical screening,’ according to their profile. Now, go to ‘Screening Downloads’ to get your Screening Invitation letter and Screening Acknowledgement slips.

Applicants whose names appear on the list are advised to go for the physical screening exercise with their credentials on the stipulated date that will be fixed by the school management.

They should go with credentials such as:

  • Online screening slip
  • Physical screening invitation letter
  • Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
  • Downloaded O’level Results from the internet of not more than 2 sittings
  • Scratch card PIN (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, GRADE II) or Original Certificates,
  • Indigene Letters as well as NCE/NDE/IJMB for Direct Entry Candidates
