1. BSc Accounting  and Finance

This Course centred on the essential role of accounting in decision-making. Learn about the relationship between management teams and the monitoring and planning of an organization’s financial resources.

You will learn about the key duties an accountant plays in this process and gain insight into what drives management strategy. Its graduates go on to work at companies such as Deloitte and PwC.

This course offers a double degree option. Achieve two degrees for the price of one, and study abroad at one of our partner institutions.

A-Levels: ABB – BBB

IB: 32 points overall in the IB diploma with 6,6,5 – 6,5,5 at HL. Minimum scores of 5 in English and Maths at Standard level.

BTEC, Access & other: BTEC Extended Diploma DDD. Access to HE students is eligible to apply for this course.

Further requirements:

 5 GCSE grades A*- C to include:

➛ GCSE Maths – grade B/5

➛ GCSE English Language OR English Literature – grade C/4

Please note that General Studies does not contribute towards the UCAS points requirement but is welcomed as an additional qualification.

UCAS applicants who select this course as their Firm choice may be eligible for a lower offer.

This means that the grades that you will need in order to be accepted onto the course will be reduced.

Whilst the grades listed here are our entry requirements, we understand that predicted grades are only an estimate.

The school considers applicants with predicted grades that fall below these entry requirements if the application is of a high standard (however, initial offers will not be lower than stated above).

2. MSc International Accounting and Finance

If you’re looking to take your accounting and finance skills to the next level and enhance your international employability, then its MSc International Accounting and Finance is perfect for you.

This course will develop your understanding of key concepts, enhance your technical abilities and help you appreciate the crucial role accounting and finance plays in organizations, by determining strategy and impacting decision making.

Several modules on this course are accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

Programme Requirement

One of the following:

➛ A good UK honours degree (minimum lower second class)

➛ An equivalent overseas degree recognized by Aston University

➛ Two references – at least one must be from an academic referee

➛ An official academic transcript of your university grades to date

➛ A completed application form.

To study MSc International Accounting & Finance you must have completed your first undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or a related subject area.

For International Students:

➛ An official academic transcript, with an official English translation, of your university grades to date

➛ Students whose native language is not English will also need to satisfy our English language requirements.

Pre-sessional English language programmes are available for good applicants whose English qualifications fall just short of these requirements.

➛ Postgraduate masters students enrolling with Aston Business School with a 5.5 in one of the 4 IELTS sections will be required to engage with English language tuition as part of the Professional Development Programme (PDP).

  There will be no extra cost to the student.

The school recognizes the value of extensive professional experience.

If you do not have the academic qualifications but have extensive and relevant professional experience and a proven ability to succeed, the institution welcomes your application.
