How To Apply

All applications, whether you are from the UK, EU or overseas, should be made through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). Please apply online using the University of Reading’s UCAS code, READG R12.

You should aim to submit your completed application between 1 September and the middle of January for admission in October of that year.

The school doesn’t interview individual applicants, so please ensure that your UCAS application features appropriate information highlighting your academic and extracurricular achievements.

A strong personal statement is also essential. This should demonstrate an informed interest in the degree programme you have applied for.

Explain why you have chosen a particular programme, provide examples of your past achievements and reflect on how you will use and further develop your knowledge and skills throughout your time at university.

Entry Requirements

Entry requirements vary depending on your chosen degree programme but generally, you are expected to achieve grades AAA-AAB from 3 A-Levels (excluding General Studies and Key Skills).

A minimum of GCSE Mathematics and English, grade B or above, is also required.

International Baccalaureate

Applicants completing the International Baccalaureate must pass the Diploma and achieve 34-35 points.

The other UK and international qualifications

Henley Business School welcomes students with equivalent UK and international qualifications.

BA International Management and Business Administration with French/German/Italian/Spanish

Applicants for BA International Management and Business Administration with French/Spanish are required to obtain a minimum GCSE grade B (or 6) or IB Standard Level grade 4 in a Modern Foreign Language.

Applicants for BA International Management and Business Administration with German are required to obtain a minimum GCSE grade A (or 7) or AS level grade B or IB Standard Level grade 5 in German.

BA International Management and Business Administration with Italian can be taken from beginner’s level and no previous language qualifications are required.

BSc Accounting and Finance

Applicants for BSc Accounting and Finance are required to obtain A Level or AS level Mathematics at grade B or above.

BA in Accounting and Business

It is important to note that in addition to meeting the School’s standard entry requirements, shortlisted students applying for BA Accounting and Business will be asked to submit a supplementary application form.

They may be invited to attend an assessment centre run in conjunction with PwC.

English language

Studying in a second language can be challenging. If your English language ability is below the minimum requirement.

The school may ask you to provide evidence of proficiency or to attend an English language course before you begin your studies so that you can participate fully in your degree programme.

Programme Length:

21 or 27 months, part-time

Fees 2019:

£39,500*

The international trip costs will be covered within the tuition fee with the exception of flights, visas and some ground transportation to/from airports.

Additional Costs:

The programme fee does not include flights or Visas for the European and overseas workshops and study visits.

The cost for the optional international study visit elective module is not included in the above price.

Course intakes:

October 2021 and March 2022

Entry Requirements

To join this Henley
MBA programme you will need:

➛ Three year’s management experience;

➛ Good first degree or equivalent professional or international qualification*;

➛ Evidence of competence in English – English**; and

➛ You must be able to gain access to company data for assignment purposes.

A good degree or equivalent professional or international qualification is normally required.

However, the school does not welcome applications from candidates with exceptional management experience who may not meet all the formal criteria for admission.

If you have a minimum of 5 years of experience at a senior or strategic level with no degree, the institution would be happy to consider an application. The school’s Admission Panel reviews all non-standard applications for suitability.

Candidates whose first language is not English will normally be required to meet one of the following conditions:

➛ Take an IELTS test and achieve an overall score of 7.0 with no less than 6.0 in each element. The University also accepts a number of other tests instead of IELTS.

➛ Have successfully completed a degree taught in the English language (approved criteria applies).

➛ Provide a satisfactorily completed declaration from a current employer (confirmation from a previous employer can be accepted if the applicant left that employer within 12 months of the programme application).

This confirms that they are required to work in English to a high level on a daily basis.

➛ Obtain confirmation of the satisfactory level of English language proficiency from an authorized staff from Henley Business School based on one of the following:

➛ Provision of a self-declaration stating their responsibilities and activities, supported by examples of aspects of their work, requiring English language proficiency in fulfilling their role; or

➛ Undergo a face-to-face interview in English with an authorized staff from Henley Business School
