WAEC / NECO O’LEVEL GRADE POINTS CALCULATION-Jamb new grading system
This is the new template that the joint admission and Matriculation board will use to reward and also grade your O level results.
Those who will be sitting for WAEC, NECO and GCE this year must do their best to get as many As and Bs as possible as you can.

There is good news to all those who have great and impressive score or grades in their O level results. The Joint admission and Matriculation Board JAMB for the first time will be rewarding you guys for your performances.
Take for example if you got like 4 As in 4 subjects e.g (physics chemistry English language economics) all As, it means that you will be rewarded 6 points each for the 4 courses. Let’s put it down Mathematically :
- 4 A: 2 ( 6 6 6)= 2(18) = 36.
36 grade is no small mark, well JAMB will add it to your total UTME score.
Other things to note in jamb new grading system 2022/2023
- Jamb will take O level grades into consideration.
- Jamb now places more importance and value on one sitting as against two sittings.
- Those with one sittings will henceforth enjoy a whooping 10 marks.
- Those whose O level are full of As will have higher chances of securing admission.
