The Kaduna State University was established under the Kaduna State Law Number 3 promulgated on 21st May 2004. The promulgation was a consequence of the obvious and felt need to boost higher education in the State and the country in general. The university has two campuses with the main campus located at Kaduna and a mini campus in Kafanchan also in Kaduna state.

KASU has seven faculties which are the Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Arabic and French Studies, A School of Basic and Remedial studies, and a school of Postgraduate studies, the current Vice-chancellor of the university is Professor Muhammad Tanko.

Check KASU Admission List

To check the KASU admission list which includes names of candidates that have been offered provisional admission into the institution’s undergraduates programs. All those candidates that applied for KASU admission can now proceed to check their individual admission status via the institution’s official website.

Below is the step by step procedures to check the admission list:

  • You will need to visit the school official web portal via kasu.edu.ng/admission
  • next, you should move the cursor to the top of the page
  • find the search box on the top of the page
  • once you have found the search box, you can now input your full name to check your status and then click on the search

All candidates should note that all admitted students on the supplementary admission list are expected to be present for screening which date will be announced later.

Check Admission Status at KASU Portal

  • Visit KASU official website at www.kasu.edu.ng
  • Enter your JAMB registration number and name in the fields provided at the right-hand corner of the page
  • Navigate till you locate the button “Admission status” then click on it.
  • Ensure you use a good browser and reliable network service.

 KASU Admission Requirement

For all admission into 100 level, all candidates are expected to have five credit passes in SSCE, NECO, GCE “O” level, or its equivalent in subjects that is relevant to the chosen course of study and should be a maximum of two sittings. And for the JAMB score, candidates must have scored at least 180 in the just concluded UTME.

Other Requirements

  1. In all departments and faculties, the institution will require all candidates to possess credit passes in Mathematics and English language
  2. The school will also conduct a post UTME screening exercise to ensure that only qualified candidates will be given the final admission. All candidates should note that they are expected to meet up with their chosen departmental-specific requirement to be admitted after the screening exercise.

How to Register Courses and Check Results on KASU Portal

  • Students should visit the portal to create their personal account at http://student.kasu.ng
  • Select the link “Register courses” then select your required courses then save and submit.
  • To check results, select the semester and session then click on “Check Result” to view your results.

KASU Direct Entry Admission Process

  • Pay the sum of #5000 as a Pre-admission screening exercise fee online. You will be given a CD containing JAMB eSyllabus, eBrochure, ePIN, and other vital materials.
  • The applicant should send his/her name by SMS to 55019. The characters should be maximum of 38 characters plus two spaces i.e 40 characters in all. You will then receive a 10-character profile code on that same mobile number to register your profile.
  • Take the ePIN to any JAMB accredited CBT centers to complete your registration. Input your name as registered on your profile
  • Update your Biodata (Date of birth, Nationality, State of origin, Local government, gender, email address).
  • Here you will enter your choice of institution, program, or discipline and type of qualification along with grades and dates obtained.
  • You will be required to enter the JAMB registration number for previous institutional certificates.
  • Enter required UTME subjects and choice of examination town
  • Do a picture capture and biometric enrollment (All ten fingers)
  • Review and edit entries in case of any mistake then confirm.
  • Print the registration slip using Biometric Authentication and collect the reading text and CD.
