The College eventually came into existence following the promulgation of Kwara State, as a body empowered by statute “to provide for studies, training, research and development of techniques in arts and language, applied sciences, engineering, management and commerce, education and well as in other spheres of learning”.

KwaraPoly portal is a portal designed by Kwara State Polytechnic in Ilorin. Using this site, students of the university, both freshmen and returning, will be able to register their personal student account and monitor all the necessary information about admissions and other administrative and academic activities.

How to Create an Application for Admissions
Using Kwara Poly portal, students can make an application for admissions for their particular program. There are three options offered for a 2024/2025 academic year:
- Application For Admission Into HND Full-Time 2024/2025 Application
- For Admission Into HND Part-Time 2024/2025 Application
- For Admission Into ND Part-Time 2021/2022
You can find all three links on the Application Page of the portal. Choose your option and complete a quick registration after following the link. Also, if you already have this account, you can simply log in with your Applicant ID and password.
Kwarapoly Screening Requirements
- Original copy of JAMB result slip
- Original document of the O’Level (SSCE) Certificate and the Statements of Result
- Original copy of Candidate birth declaration or birth certificate
- Original copy of the applicant Local Government Area certificate
- Attestation Letter
- Recent passport photographs and other relevant results
Kwarapoly Entry Requirement For the National Diploma 2021
Candidates seeking admission into the National Diplomatic Program of the Institution must meet up to the following entry requirements as stated below:
- Candidates must be over 16 years of age
- Candidates, Cut-off mark must be at least 150 in the conducted UTME/JAMB examination and must also beat the present/current cut-off mark of the institution
- Candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics either at GCE, O’Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO, or other approved examinations of the institution.
- Five (5) credit passes in the above examinations should not be more than two sittings.
Kwarapoly Entry Requirement for the Higher National Diploma 2021
Prospective candidates seeking admission into the Higher National Diplomatic (HND) Program of the Institution must meet up to the following entry requirements as stated below in addition to the National Diplomatic requirement;
- All candidates must have a minimum of Lower Credit that is, (CGPA of 2.50) in the National Diploma (ND); in the relevant field to the intended course of study.
- Candidates must possess a passing grade in industrial experience; in Post-National Diploma for two years before being considered for admission.
- Candidates must possess evidence showing one-year of Industrial Training, that is, post-ND Cognate experience.
- All Candidates must have a transcript; especially candidates from other institution
